02 / Build & Deliver

platform.

A shared home for independent tools

Every new tool raises a question about how people will use it together. With platform, I connect my applications through shared administration: who belongs to which organisation, which modules are enabled and how does each person find their tools?

01 /

Bringing people and organisations together

platform brings organisations, members, roles and invitations together. Team administrators can invite people and manage membership in one place.

A shared sign-in and assigned access help everyone keep track of several applications.

02 /

Making the right tools available

Each organisation gets the modules that fit its work. A personal launcher shows the enabled tools and takes people directly into the relevant application.

The module catalogue lists applications, their connections and their current availability. New tools can join step by step.

03 /

Connecting information across applications

When several tools work with the same people and organisations, shared foundations help. platform maintains a people directory and a data catalogue describing the information connected modules provide.

Applications can then access the information they need. Each tool keeps its own purpose and can continue to develop independently.

04 /

Growing with the work

New modules can start as linked applications and become more closely connected over time. The documentation explains how sign-in, access and shared data work together.

An activity log keeps administrative changes traceable. For me, this creates a working environment that can grow with its tools and the people using them.

From idea to use

What it makes easier.

  • 01Manage organisations, members and roles centrally
  • 02Invite people and assign access
  • 03Enable the modules each organisation needs
  • 04Reach individual tools through a personal launcher
  • 05See shared people and available data in context
  • 06Follow administrative changes in the activity log

What I take away

Independent tools become more useful when the paths between them are clear. Shared administration provides a good starting point.
